We’re over the hump of peak summer (although it’s touch and go; summer’s end tends to extend over months), and there are only three things we want to drink: fresh watermelon juice, anything with lime in it, and tequila. It was only natural that at some point we attempted a combination of all three, and as it happens, the result is delicious.
Directions
Chop the watermelon into squares and blend with liberal squeezes of lime and one peg of tequila (per serving). Strain to remove seeds and extra-pulpy bits, pour into a cocktail shaker filled with ice, and shake vigorously. Serve in a glass with a salted rim.
