The cocktail equivalent of comfort food, the Whiskey Sour is a pretty perfect drink. One of our top Delhi bars, PCO, is known for its prohibition-style drinks, and for excellently-crafted stiff drinks that its bartenders treat with care and respect.

The Whiskey Sour is an old fashioned drink for all ages, and for any age. It consists of classic punch ingredients: one sour, two sweet, three strong, four weak.

It is, in a word, a classic, and there’s something so soothing about a classic done just right. PCO’s mixologist, Vicky, shared a simplified recipe with us.


1 egg white
Simple sugar syrup (15 ml)
Lime juice (15 ml)
Bourbon whiskey (60 ml)

Mix all together and shake it well before pouring it into an old fashioned glass. Garnish with a citrus twist. Cheers!
