We’re all for unisex styles, especially if it means bidding buh-bye to heaving wardrobes and treading the path to sustainability. There’s merit in owning a few key pieces that can be worn many, many ways.
We love a well-considered purchase, but equally, ‘swap til you drop’ is turning into our new mantra. Make a wardrobe go twice (or three times) as far by looping in a lover or a friend, and borrowing from the boys (or girls). We’ve got a whole bunch of tops, trousers, kurtas, and shirts that work for everyone when styled right. All you need is the will to experiment and share (unless you’re buying in twos, of course).
Sunshine twins
Our Pondicherry kurta may have been crafted keeping the boys in mind, but skims a feminine frame just as well. Pair with anything (honestly, anything) but we chose easy-fit pants, tucked in or slightly undone for an ultra-chill vibe.
Twice the fun
The Kazim check kurta is pretty cute as-is, but make it go twice as far belted and cinched in as a super-cute summer dress.
Comfort is universal
Blue and white: failsafe colours, and these fisherman-style dhoti trousers (in lightweight white linen on her and an equally lightweight denim on him) are ridiculously easy to slip into (and stay in). It’s getting out of them that might prove hard, that’s how comfy they are.
Add your own touches
Slouchy pants + organic cotton tee. We’re living in this all summer long, regardless of gender, but we’re also dipping into our bag of super-simple styling tricks, like knotting a t-shirt at the waist for some shape, or hiking up trouser legs a little.
Perennial prep
The classic denim and t-shirt combo works for all seasons. Ditto white kicks.
