There is nothing prettier than flowers in your hair. Given that people have been doing it for actual millennia, we don’t know that it counts as a hot styling tip (hot tip!) but it’s a little flourish that we love here at Nicobar.
You’ll often see our models (and us) with a little bloom pinned into hair, or tucked into a pocket. It’s easy enough to do of course (unless you’re constructing an elaborate floral crown, and if you are, fair play to you) but if you’re adding a little bloom to your ’do, make sure you pick a flower with a sturdy stem, and bonus if it happens to smell amazing, so you’re enveloped in incredible smells as you waft around. Can’t find flowers on short notice? A few delicate leaves also work. Just pin them in place (and mist your hairpins with hairspray first so they stay put).
Plus bonus tip: chill your flower (or flowers) before you use them. It sounds a little nuts but placing cut flowers in water in the fridge will keep them looking fresh and crisp.
